Selecting Consumables and Tool Accessories for Surface Prep and Electronics

Industrial surface preparation and electronics rework demand task-specific consumables. When preparing metal or wood surfaces, select 125 mm sanding discs with standard 8-hole patterns to match your dust extraction system. Match the grit to the application: coarse 40-grit aluminium oxide for rapid material removal, up to 2000-grit for fine polishing.

For electronics maintenance and desoldering, align your desoldering braid width with the joint size. Keep both 2.0 mm and 3.5 mm widths on hand to quickly wick away excess solder.
