Who controls your data
www.compelgroup.co.uk (trading as Compel Group) is operated by SIA Behind, registered in Latvia under number 40203718836, registered address Brivibas gatve 432 k-2 - 57, Riga, LV-1024, Latvia, EU VAT number LV40203718836. We are the data controller for the personal data we handle. To reach us about privacy, email support@compelgroup.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account details - your name, email and password when you create an account.
- Order details - what you bought, your delivery and billing address, and contact details.
- Payment details - card payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data - pages you view, what you click, device and approximate location, collected with our own first-party analytics to improve the store.
How we use it
We use your data to process and deliver orders, take payment, provide support, manage your account and Pro membership, send transactional emails (order, invoice and account messages), prevent fraud, meet our legal and tax obligations, and improve the site. We only send marketing email if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies and analytics
We use no third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Nothing is shared with advertisers, and there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracking on this store.
Strictly necessary storage is always on, because the store cannot work without it: your basket, your sign-in session, the currency you picked, and the record of the cookie choice you made below. We do not need consent for these.
Analytics is our own first-party measurement - which pages are visited, what is clicked and how far people scroll - so we can find and fix what is not working. We only set these cookies if you accept them. If you do not, we set nothing on your device for analytics and record nothing that identifies you; we only add one to an anonymous count of how many times a page was viewed, which cannot be traced back to you or to any other visit.
With analytics accepted, this browser also keeps a short list of the products you looked at, on your device only (it is not sent to us). We use it to welcome you back on a product you viewed before (when you last looked, whether the price dropped, today's delivery date) and to compare products you viewed side by side. Turning analytics off deletes the list.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Turning analytics off deletes the analytics cookies from your browser straight away and stops any further collection. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser, though the strictly necessary ones are needed for the store to work.
Baskets you do not finish
If you are signed in, or you have entered your email address at checkout, we keep a record of what was in your basket so we can remind you about it and help if something went wrong. We rely on our legitimate interest in recovering a sale you had already started, and we only email you about it because you gave us your details while buying - every such message has a one-click unsubscribe, and we stop as soon as you ask.
This does not depend on analytics cookies: it uses the account you signed into or the address you typed yourself. If you are not signed in and have not given us an email, we keep no record of your basket. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Product alerts
If you ask us to email you when a product is back in stock or its price drops, we keep your email address and the product. We rely on your consent: nothing is sent until you confirm by email, you get one alert only, and every alert has a one-click unsubscribe. Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 30 days, sent or cancelled ones after 90 days.
Product helper (AI)
The product helper on product pages is an AI assistant. Your question, the product and your delivery country are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write the answer. We keep questions and answers for 12 months to improve our product information. Please do not type personal details into it. If you ask us to email you the answers, we use your address only for that email.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the partners that help us run the store: our payment provider, shipping carriers, email and hosting providers, and our AI provider for the product helper. They process data on our behalf under contract and may be located outside your country, with appropriate safeguards in place. We do not sell your personal data.
To fulfil and deliver your order, we share the order and delivery details it needs (your name, delivery address and phone number, and your email address where a carrier needs it) with our fulfilment and delivery partners. Some of them are located outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where the destination country has no adequacy decision, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard data protection clauses where these are in place, or is made because it is necessary to perform your contract with us (Article 49(1)(b) of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR). These partners may use your details only to fulfil and deliver your order.
How long we keep it
We keep order and invoice records for as long as the law requires (including tax and accounting rules), and other data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Email support@compelgroup.co.uk and we will respond. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy as the store evolves. The current version always lives on this page.
