A: It samples a voltage and draws it against time so you can see signal shape, timing and noise. The DPOS350P does this on two channels at 1GSa/s with 350MHz bandwidth and shows 12 measurements on screen.. Q: What is a spectrum analyser and does this unit have one? A: A spectrum analyser shows signal strength against frequency rather than time. The DPOS350P includes an FFT spectrum analyser from 200kHz to 350MHz with waterfall and 3D waterfall views.. Q: What is a signal generator used for? A: It produces a known test signal to drive a circuit. The built-in generator outputs 14 standard waveforms, sine up to 50MHz, at 0 to 5Vpp with adjustable offset and duty cycle, and can replay up to 500 captured signals.. Q: How do you use the frequency response analyser? A: The analyser sweeps an excitation signal from 100Hz to 50MHz into the circuit and plots gain and phase as a Bode plot. You set the start and stop frequency, amplitude, offset and number of points (20 to 500).. Q: What is the time base of an oscilloscope? A: It is the time each horizontal division represents. The DPOS350P covers 5ns to 50s, with a roll mode from 50ms to 50s for slow signals..
