The UTG932E and UTG962E are compact dual channel function generators and arbitrary waveform generators that output sine waves to 30MHz (UTG932E) or 60MHz (UTG962E), using direct digital synthesis at a 200MSa/s sampling rate with 14 bit vertical resolution and 1µHz frequency resolution.
Features and Benefits
- Two equal channels - both outputs have the same performance, and each can be set for a 50Ω or high impedance load.
- Seven waveform types - sine, square, pulse, ramp, noise, DC and arbitrary, with 26 built-in arbitrary waves and 24 non-volatile arbitrary memories.
- Modulation and sweep - AM, FM, PM and FSK modulation plus linear or logarithmic sweep for response and communication tests.
- Wide output swing - 1mVpp to 10Vpp into 50Ω or 2mVpp to 20Vpp into high impedance, with 1mV resolution and DC offset of ±5V or ±10V.
- Stable frequency - ±50ppm accuracy within 90 days and ±100ppm within 1 year.
- Built-in frequency counter - 100mHz to 100MHz range for checking external signals.
- 4.3 inch colour screen - the 480 x 272 TFT shows both channels in different colours, with a numeric keypad, knob and multi-language menu.

- 1 x USB interface cable
- 1 x power adapter and lead
- 1 x BNC cable with crocodile clips

Q: What does a function generator do? A: It creates repeatable test signals such as sine, square, pulse, ramp, noise or arbitrary waves at a set frequency and level. This one does it on two channels to 30MHz or 60MHz, with AM, FM, PM, FSK and sweep.. Q: How do you use a function generator with an oscilloscope? A: Link CH1 to the scope with a BNC lead, set the load to 50Ω or HighZ to match the input, choose the waveform with the soft keys, enter frequency and amplitude on the keypad, then press CH1 to switch the output on.. Q: What is the difference between the UTG932E and UTG962E? A: The UTG962E runs sine to 60MHz and square and pulse to 20MHz; the UTG932E runs sine to 30MHz and square and pulse to 15MHz. Sampling rate, resolution, display and size are the same.. Q: Can it measure the frequency of another signal? A: Yes. It has a built-in frequency counter with a range of 100mHz to 100MHz.. Q: Can I store my own waveforms? A: Yes. Besides the 26 built-in arbitrary waves there are 24 non-volatile stores for arbitrary waveforms, and the USB port connects it to a PC..
