The 1833C and 1832C are handheld LCR meters (digital bridges) that measure inductance, capacitance, resistance and impedance, with X, D, Q, θ and ESR as secondary readings, at 0.3% basic accuracy. The 1833C tests at 10 frequencies from 100Hz to 100kHz and the 1832C at 7 frequencies from 100Hz to 40kHz, with results on a 2.8 inch dual readout screen.
Features and Benefits
- Up to 10 test frequencies on the 1833C - check capacitors and inductors at the frequency they work at in the circuit
- Primary L, C, R, Z and secondary X, D, Q, θ, ESR on one screen - read capacitance with ESR or dissipation in a single test
- Ranges to 2000H, 20mF and 20MΩ with auto or manual ranging - one meter for small SMD parts and large electrolytics
- 3-terminal jacks and a 5-terminal slot, series or parallel equivalent circuit - four wire style connection for low value parts
- Fast, medium and slow speeds (4, 2 or 1 readings per second) - trade speed for stable readings
- Hold, record, relative (REL) and compare keys, plus open and short circuit correction - sort parts and cancel lead effects
- PC software over USB Type-C, rechargeable lithium batteries and a folding stand - log data on the bench or use it handheld
Applications
- Incoming inspection and sorting of capacitors, inductors and resistors
- Capacitor ESR and dissipation checks in electronics repair
- Coil, choke and transformer winding measurements
- Teaching component behaviour against frequency

A: The 1833C has 10 test frequencies from 100Hz to 100kHz and two test levels, 0.6Vrms and 0.3Vrms. The 1832C has 7 frequencies from 100Hz to 40kHz and a 0.6Vrms test level; both share the same ranges, accuracy and functions.. Q: Can this LCR meter measure ESR? A: Yes. ESR is one of the secondary parameters, shown alongside capacitance on the dual display, with D, Q, X and θ also available.. Q: What is the measuring range of this LCR meter? A: Inductance up to 2000H, capacitance up to 20mF and resistance up to 20MΩ, with auto or manual ranging and 0.3% basic accuracy.. Q: Can the LCR meter be connected to a computer? A: Yes. The USB Type-C port carries data to the PC software, which can control the meter remotely and record and save readings.. Q: Does it come with a UK plug? A: No. The charger is supplied with an EU plug by default, so use a UK adapter..
