The 2D15P is a compact desktop digital oscilloscope with two channels, 100MHz analogue bandwidth on a single channel (50MHz per channel with both active) and 500MSa/s sampling, combined with a 20000-count true RMS multimeter and a 10MHz DDS signal generator. It is run from a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen plus knobs and buttons, and powered by a built-in 5000mAh battery charged over Type-C, so it works on the bench or away from mains.
Features and Benefits
- Memory depth of 10K, 100K or 1M and a waveform capture rate of about 1,200 frames per second: catches occasional glitches that a slow refresh misses.
- 128-level greyscale with colour temperature and persistence from min to infinity: shows how often a waveform takes each path, useful for jitter and noise.
- 13 automatic measurements, cursors, 6 maths operations and X-Y mode: phase, timing and amplitude analysis without a PC.
- Rising, falling and both-edge triggering in Auto, Normal and Single modes, with dedicated Single and Auto keys.
- 20MHz bandwidth limit: cleaner power supply ripple readings.
- Built-in 20000-count (4.5 digit) true RMS multimeter with trend graph: voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, diode and continuity on the same screen.
- One-channel DDS generator, 0 to 10MHz, 0.1 to 3.0Vpp, duty 0 to 100%, 9 waveforms: stimulus and measurement from one instrument.
Applications
- Electronics development and repair: switching supplies, audio stages and microcontroller signals.
- Automotive diagnostics such as LIN bus signals, sensor outputs and battery voltage.
- Equipment maintenance and field testing on battery power.
- Research, teaching and student labs.
In the box
- 2D15P unit, 2 x P6100 scope probes, multimeter test leads, alligator clip probe, USB-A to Type-C cable, user manual.
Note: maximum input is 800V with a x10 probe. Set the probe and channel attenuation to match, and use the multimeter jacks, not the BNC inputs, for meter readings.

A: It samples a voltage and draws it against time so you can see the shape, timing and noise of a signal. The 2D15P samples at 500MSa/s on two channels and adds 13 automatic measurements under the trace.. Q: Is the 100MHz bandwidth available on both channels at once? A: No. The listing gives 100MHz when one channel is in use and 50MHz per channel when both channels are active, with 500MSa/s sampling.. Q: How do you use the signal generator on the 2D15P? A: Press DDS, pick one of the 9 waveforms on the touchscreen and set frequency (0 to 10MHz), amplitude (0.1 to 3.0Vpp) and duty cycle. The signal comes out of the GEN BNC socket next to CH1 and CH2.. Q: What does an oscilloscope show that a multimeter cannot? A: A meter gives a single number, while the scope shows ripple, spikes, dropouts and timing. This unit has both, so you can read a true RMS value on the 20000-count meter and then view the same signal as a waveform.. Q: What is the time base of an oscilloscope? A: It is the time represented by each horizontal division. On the 2D15P it runs from 5ns/div to 50s/div, set with the Horizontal knob..
