The 2C53T and 2C23T are handheld 3 in 1 instruments that combine a dual channel digital oscilloscope, a true RMS multimeter and a DDS signal generator, with 50MHz bandwidth and 250MS/s sampling on the 2C53T, or 10MHz and 50MS/s on the 2C23T. Both use an FPGA, MCU/ARM and ADC architecture, show traces on a 2.8 inch 320 x 240 colour screen and run from a built-in 3000mAh battery charged over USB Type-C.

A: It plots voltage against time so you can see the shape of a signal, not just a number. On this unit the trace comes with frequency, Vp-p, duty cycle and Vrms readouts on two channels, up to 50MHz on the 2C53T.. Q: How do you use an oscilloscope like the 2C53T? A: Fit the P6100 probe to CH1, clip its earth lead to circuit ground, touch the tip to the test point and press AUTO. The unit sets the timebase and scale itself, then you can fine-tune with the arrow keys and the TRIGGER menu.. Q: What is a signal generator used for? A: It feeds a known test signal into a circuit so you can check how the circuit responds. The 2C53T outputs 13 waveforms up to 50kHz and the 2C23T outputs 7 waveforms from 1Hz to 2MHz from the DDS BNC socket.. Q: How do you find frequency on an oscilloscope? A: On this scope you do not need to count divisions: the frequency readout sits under the trace with Vp-p, duty cycle and Vrms. Cursor measurement is also available for timing between two points.. Q: What is the time base of an oscilloscope? A: The time base is the time each horizontal division represents. The 2C53T covers 10ns to 20s and the 2C23T covers 50ns to 10s..
