The DSO-TC4 is a handheld 3 in 1 digital oscilloscope, transistor and component tester and DDS signal generator, with 10MHz analogue bandwidth, 48MSa/s real-time sampling and up to ±400V input with a 10:1 probe. It identifies the type and pin order of transistors, diodes, FETs and SCRs on its own, outputs 13 test waveforms up to 50kHz and runs from a built-in 1500mAh battery with a 2.8 inch TFT colour screen.

A: It shows how a voltage changes over time, so you can see ripple, pulses, noise and signal shape that a meter cannot show. The DSO-TC4 does this at up to 10MHz and also tests the components you find on the board.. Q: How do you test a transistor with the DSO-TC4? A: Fit the component legs into the 1-2-3 test socket and start the tester. It identifies the part type and pin order on its own and shows values such as hFE and Ube for a transistor, or Vt, Cg and Rds for a MOSFET.. Q: What is a signal generator used for? A: It supplies a known test signal to a circuit, for example to check an amplifier stage or a filter. This unit outputs 13 waveforms from 0 to 50kHz at 0.1 to 3.0V with adjustable square wave duty cycle.. Q: How do you find frequency on this oscilloscope? A: Press AUTO and the automatic measurements show frequency, cycle, duty cycle, Vpp and RMS under the trace. HOLD freezes the waveform so you can read it at leisure.. Q: Can the DSO-TC4 measure mains voltage? A: The input range is ±400V (800Vpp) with the P6100 probe on 10:1, and ±40V on a 1:1 lead. Stay within these limits and use the 10:1 setting for any high voltage work..
