The DSO3D12 is a 3 in 1 desktop digital oscilloscope, True RMS multimeter and signal generator: 2 channels sampling at 250MSa/s in real time, 120MHz bandwidth with CH1 alone (60MHz with both channels on), and a 1Hz to 2MHz waveform output, all on a 3.2 inch IPS screen.
Features and Benefits
- Up to 120MHz bandwidth, 250MSa/s real time and 500MSa/s equivalent sampling - room for fast edges, with rise time under 3ns
- One-key Auto and fully automatic mode - the waveform is found and scaled for you, then tracked without further key presses
- Auto, Normal and Single trigger on a rising or falling edge, CH1 or CH2 source, manual or auto level - hold a steady trace or freeze a one-off event
- 14 automatic measurements, X and Y cursors, FFT, XY, Roll, zoom, persistence and reference waveforms - compare PWM dead time, phase or Lissajous figures on the same screen
- Built-in signal generator - sine, square, triangle and more from 1Hz to 2MHz at 2.5V, square duty adjustable from 1% to 99%
- True RMS multimeter isolated from the scope - for low voltage, resistance and continuity it runs in a small window while the scope keeps working
- Screenshot save and image viewer, USB Type-C 5V charging and about 6 hours of battery time - stands on its collapsible stand on the bench or travels in a tool bag
Applications
- Basic R&D, circuit fault finding and education
- Car repair and automotive signal checks
- Power supplies, welding machines and frequency converters
- Audio work, radio amateurs, bus and crystal waveforms
In the box
DSO3D12 host, two oscilloscope probes with tips and colour rings, multimeter test leads and a USB Type-C cable.
Note: keep the scope input within ±40V at x1 or ±400V at x10. The 10A socket is not fused and the 600mA socket has a 1A fuse. When measuring high voltage, do not use the multimeter and oscilloscope at the same time.

A: It draws a voltage against time, so you can see wave shape, timing, noise and glitches. The DSO3D12 does this on 2 channels at 250MSa/s, with 120MHz bandwidth when only CH1 is on.. Q: How to use an oscilloscope to measure voltage on the DSO3D12? A: Connect a probe to the CH1 BNC, set x1 or x10 to match the probe and press Auto. The screen shows PKPK and mean values under the trace, and RMS can be added from the measure menu.. Q: What sort of signal does a signal generator make? A: The built-in generator outputs sine, square, triangle and other waveforms from 1Hz to 2MHz at 2.5V. The square wave duty cycle is adjustable from 1% to 99%.. Q: What is the time base of an oscilloscope? A: It sets how much time each horizontal division shows. On the DSO3D12 it runs from 5ns to 10s, with YT, Roll and XY display modes.. Q: How to find frequency on an oscilloscope? A: Press Auto and read the Frq value under the trace, or measure one period with the X cursors. The listing gives frequency accuracy of ±0.01%..
