This digital Shore hardness tester (durometer) reads the hardness of rubber and plastic on a large LCD. It comes in three types, LXD-A (0-100HA), LXD-C (0-100HC) and LXD-D (0-100HD), each with 0.5 resolution, so you pick the scale that suits the material being tested. It runs on a 3V CR2032 battery and measures 115 x 60 x 25mm.
Features and benefits:
- Three types to choose from - LXD-A (0-100HA), LXD-C (0-100HC) and LXD-D (0-100HD), each with 0.5 resolution
- Extra-large LCD screen - the reading is easy to see on the bench or on the shop floor
- On/Off, Hold and Zero keys - simple key layout, with zero setting at any position
- Quick and stable data output
- Pressure needle range of 2.5mm with a Ø0.79mm pressure head end
- Portable size - 115 x 60 x 25mm and about 0.13kg to 0.16kg
- Recommended measuring range of 10 to 90HA
Applications:
- Type A: general rubber, synthetic rubber, vulcanised rubber, soft rubber, leather and wax
- Type C: rubber microporous material, such as the foamed material used in shoes
- Type D: hard rubber, hard resin, acrylic, glass, plastic cement, printing plates and fibre
In the box:
- 1 x digital Shore hardness tester (type chosen in options)
- 1 x plastic case
- 1 x safety precautions and notes on export regulations booklet
Note: The tester is sent without a battery. Fit one 3V CR2032 lithium cell before use. Use the type that matches your material.

A: A hardness tester is an instrument that measures the hardness of a material. This Shore type reads the hardness of rubber and plastics on a digital LCD.. Q: What is a Shore durometer used for? A: A Shore durometer checks the hardness of vulcanised rubber and plastic products. Type A suits soft rubber and leather, Type C suits microporous material, and Type D suits hard rubber and hard plastics.. Q: What is the difference between LXD-A, LXD-C and LXD-D? A: They are three scales of the same style of tester. LXD-A reads 0-100HA, LXD-C reads 0-100HC and LXD-D reads 0-100HD, each at 0.5 resolution, for different material hardness.. Q: Which battery does it use? A: It uses one 3V CR2032 lithium cell, which is not included in the parcel.. Q: Can it measure metals? A: This is a Shore durometer for rubber and plastic materials, so it is not the right tool for metals..
