This digital Shore hardness tester reads hardness on a large LCD over a 0 to 100 range and comes in three models: LXD-A (Shore A), LXD-C (Shore C) and LXD-D (Shore D). It is a handheld durometer for checking rubber, plastics, foam and other resin materials in a workshop, lab or school, and it runs from a 3V CR2032 battery.
Features and benefits:
- Three scales to choose from: 0 to 100HA, 0 to 100HC or 0 to 100HD, with a recommended working range of 10 to 90 on each scale.
- Large LCD display that is easy to read, so there is no dial to interpret.
- Zero-setting and HOLD functions: set the zero before testing and freeze the reading to note it down.
- ON/OFF key and a 3V CR2032 battery for simple handheld use, with no mains lead.
- Data output port for quick and stable data output to other equipment.
- Three different presser foot ends: Φ0.79mm on the LXD-A, SR2.5mm on the LXD-C and SR0.1mm on the LXD-D, with a pressure needle range of 2.5mm.
- Compact 115 x 60 x 25mm outline, supplied in a plastic case for carrying and storage.
Applications:
- Testing the hardness of rubber and synthetic rubber with the Shore A model
- Checking foam, sponge and micro porous shoe materials with the Shore C model
- Measuring hard rubber and hard plastic with the Shore D model
- Incoming goods checks, workshop quality checks and teaching material properties
In the box:
- 1 x digital Shore hardness tester (model chosen in options)
- 1 x plastic case
Note: The tester is sent without a battery; fit one 3V CR2032 lithium cell before use. Pick the model to suit the material: A for rubber, C for soft foam and sponge, D for hard materials. For readings you can compare, keep the test surface flat and use the same pressure each time.

Package contents: Hardness tester and plastic case. Q: What is a Shore hardness tester? A: A Shore hardness tester, also called a durometer, presses a small indenter into a material and shows how hard it is on a scale of 0 to 100. This digital model gives the result on an LCD in Shore A, C or D depending on the version.. Q: What is the difference between Shore A, Shore C and Shore D? A: Shore A suits rubber, Shore C suits very soft foam and sponge, and Shore D suits hard rubber and hard plastic. Each scale uses a different presser foot end on the tester.. Q: What does the LXD-C measure? A: The LXD-C is for micro porous and foamed materials, such as those used in shoes, with a compression ratio of 50% at a stress of 0.5kg/cm2 or above.. Q: Does the tester come with a battery? A: No. It is sent without a battery and takes a 3V CR2032 lithium cell, which you fit before use.. Q: Can it send readings to a computer or other equipment? A: It has a data output port for quick and stable data output, so readings can be passed on to other equipment..
