- Will this voltage tester work in standard US wall outlets?
- No, this device features a Type C Europlug designed for European sockets. It will not fit US outlets directly without a physical plug adapter. However, it can measure voltages starting at 50V AC, so it can read US 120V power if you use an adapter.
- Can I use this meter to test a 12V car battery or DC circuits?
- This tester is strictly for AC voltage and cannot measure DC power. Its measurement range starts at 50V AC and goes up to 500V AC. Trying to test low-voltage batteries will not register on the digital display.
- Do I need to wire this voltmeter into my electrical system to get a reading?
- There is absolutely no wiring required to use this voltmeter. You simply plug it directly into any compatible mains socket. The digital screen powers up instantly using the outlet's current and displays the active voltage.
