- Is this tester safe to use on high-voltage home circuits?
- Yes, it has a CAT II 1000V safety rating to protect you during testing. Since it uses capacitive sensing, you don't have to touch bare wires. It warns you instantly with a bright LED and a loud buzzer.
- What voltage range and environmental conditions can this tool handle?
- This tester is designed for 220V AC voltage at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. You can safely use it in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C. Just make sure the humidity is below 80% and you are under 2000 meters in altitude.
- How do I use this tester to tell a live wire from a neutral wire?
- Simply bring the tip close to the wire you want to test. The device uses capacitive sensing to detect AC voltage without physical contact. It'll immediately trigger the buzzer and LED light when it finds a live wire.
