- What voltage range does this tester detect?
- It senses AC voltage from 12V up to 1000V at 50 to 60Hz. That covers household outlets and wiring as well as higher-voltage circuits. It detects voltage without touching the wire, then signals with sound and a light.
- What can I do with this voltage tester?
- You can find live or phase wires, locate breakpoints in a line, and check continuity. It's handy for testing household wiring and outlets before you start a repair. The non-contact design lets you check circuits without exposing bare wire.
- Does it need batteries and how long do they last?
- It runs on 2 AAA 1.5V batteries and gives about 6 hours of continuous use. It powers off on its own after 5 minutes idle to save the batteries. Check whether your package includes them before first use.
