Will this tester work with my shielded Cat6 Ethernet cables?
Yes, this tester works with both shielded (STP) and unshielded (UTP) Cat5 and Cat6 cables. It also supports standard RJ11 telephone lines and RJ45 network connections. You can easily verify wiring configurations and find faults on these common cable types.
What comes in the box, and do I need to buy batteries separately?
The package includes the main tester unit and a matching remote unit for testing long cable runs. It requires a standard 9V PP3 battery to operate, which is not included in the box. You will need to purchase the battery separately before your first use.
What is the maximum cable length this device can accurately test?
This tester can trace and test cables up to 300 meters in length. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C. For best results, use it within a non-condensing humidity range of 10% to 90%.
