This pocket handheld oscilloscope comes in three versions: the DSO510 with 10MHz bandwidth, 48MS/s real-time sampling and a 13-waveform signal generator, the DSO153 with 1MHz, 5MS/s and a 14-waveform generator, and the entry DSO152 with 200kHz and 2.5MS/s. All three are single channel, measure up to ±400V with a X10 probe, and show the trace on a 2.8 inch 320 x 240 colour screen powered by a built-in 1000mAh battery.
Features and Benefits
- One-press AUTO mode: the waveform appears without manual timebase and voltage setting, so quick checks take seconds.
- 12 on-screen measurement values on the DSO510 and DSO153 (8 on the DSO152): frequency, period, duty, Vmax, Vmin, Vpp, Vrms and average are read straight off the screen.
- Built-in DDS signal generator on the DSO510 (0 to 50kHz) and DSO153 (0 to 10kHz): feed a test signal into a circuit and check the response with one pocket tool.
- DSO510 extras: persistence (Off, 500ms, 1s, infinite), trigger level display and screenshot saving with USB export.
- 1kHz square wave test output: set up and check the probe before you measure.
- 99 x 68.3 x 19.5 mm and about 100g with a fold-out stand and lanyard: fits a shirt pocket or tool pouch.
Applications
- Electronics repair: power supply ripple, pulse and switching signal checks.
- Mains waveform viewing with the P6100 probe on X10, within the ±400V input range.
- Car repair and outdoor maintenance where a bench scope will not fit.
- Teaching, DIY learning and hobby projects.
In the box
- DSO510 with probe: DSO510 unit, P6100 probe, BNC adapter, alligator clip probe, charging cable, lanyard, user manual, box.
- DSO153 or DSO152 standard: unit, alligator clip probe, charging cable, lanyard, user manual, box.
- DSO153 or DSO152 with probe: as standard plus P6100 probe and BNC adapter.
Note: with the alligator clip lead (X1) the input range is ±40V (80Vpp). Only measure up to ±400V (800Vpp) with the P6100 probe set to X10, and keep fingers behind the probe guard on live circuits.

A: It measures voltage over time and draws it as a waveform. This unit also reads out values such as frequency, period, duty cycle, Vmax, Vmin, Vpp, Vrms and average: 12 kinds on the DSO510 and DSO153, 8 on the DSO152.. Q: How do you use a pocket oscilloscope like the DSO510? A: Connect the clip lead or P6100 probe to the DSO input, attach the earth clip, touch the test point and press AUTO. MODE switches between adjusting the vertical scale and the timebase with the up and down keys, and RUN freezes the trace.. Q: How do you read an oscilloscope screen? A: The horizontal axis is time, set by the H value at the top of the screen, and the vertical axis is volts per division, shown bottom left. The readouts underneath give the measured values, so you rarely need to count grid squares.. Q: What does a signal generator do? A: It outputs a known test waveform so you can drive a circuit and watch the result. The DSO510 generates 13 waveforms up to 50kHz and the DSO153 14 waveforms up to 10kHz; the DSO152 has only the 1kHz square wave test output.. Q: Can this handheld oscilloscope show mains voltage? A: Yes with the P6100 probe set to X10, which gives a ±400V (800Vpp) range; the seller shows a 220V mains waveform test. On the X1 clip lead the limit is ±40V, so the standard kits without the probe are for low voltage work..
