- What testing functions are packed into this one tool?
- It combines a wiremap and crimp test, an optical power meter, and PoE voltage detection. A red light pen (VFL) helps you spot fiber breaks or sharp bends. It ships with a remote unit and adapters.
- Which connectors and cable types does it work with?
- It handles both copper Ethernet and fiber optic. Supported connectors include RJ45 for Ethernet plus SC, FC, and ST for fiber. The optical meter reads common wavelengths from 850nm up to 1625nm.
- What's the optical power meter's range and accuracy?
- The optical power meter measures from -70 to +10 dBm with ±0.2 dB accuracy. PoE detection follows IEEE 802.3af/at and reads up to 60V. Cable length measures up to 300 m within about ±2 m.
