- Will this meter work on my 2-stroke dirt bike and my 4-stroke generator?
- Yes, this digital tachometer is fully compatible with both 2-stroke and 4-stroke gasoline engines. It works perfectly for tracking RPMs and run hours on dirt bikes, generators, lawnmowers, and ATVs.
- How do I install this tachometer, and do I need to wire it to my vehicle's battery?
- You don't need to hook it to your battery because it runs on an internal CR2032 battery. Just wrap the included 1.5-meter inductive wire around your spark plug wire to start reading engine signals. Then, mount the screen to any flat surface.
- Can this gauge handle wet weather, and what happens when the battery dies?
- This meter has an IP65 water resistance rating, so it easily handles rain and splashes during outdoor use. The internal battery lasts about two to three years and isn't replaceable. Once the battery runs out, you will need to replace the entire unit.
