- Will this tachometer work on my 2-stroke chainsaw and my 4-stroke motorcycle?
- Yes, this meter works perfectly with both 2-stroke and 4-stroke gasoline engines. You can easily use it to track performance on boats, motorcycles, and chainsaws. However, please note it only supports gasoline-powered equipment, not diesel or electric models.
- How do I install this tachometer on my engine?
- Installing this meter is very simple because it uses a convenient inductive setup method. You only need to wrap the 1.7-meter inductive cable around your engine's spark plug wire. Since it runs on an internal battery, there is no need to hook it up to external power.
- What are the maximum RPM and hour limits, and can I replace the battery?
- This gauge reads up to 99,999 RPM and tracks up to 99,999.9 engine hours. The internal CR2450 battery lasts about two years, but you can't replace it when it runs out. Additionally, the unit has an IP65 water resistance rating to handle outdoor splashes.
