K-Type Thermocouple | 0-800°C High-Temp Sensor | Includes MAX6675 Module

This MAX6675 K-type thermocouple module measures high temperatures with a microcontroller. It takes the small voltage from the K-type thermocouple probe. Then it turns it into a digital signal. This m...

Questions about this product
- What is the maximum temperature this thermocouple can measure?
- This kit includes a K-Type thermocouple that is rated to measure temperatures from 0°C up to 800°C. The MAX6675 module provides a 12-bit digital output, giving you a resolution of 0.25°C across that entire range.
- How do I wire the module to a microcontroller like an Arduino or Raspberry Pi?
- It uses a simple SPI interface for communication. You connect VCC to a 5V pin, GND to ground, and then the SO, SCK, and CS pins to three of your microcontroller's digital I/O pins. The thermocouple itself just screws into the two terminals on the green connector block.
- Do I need to add my own cold-junction compensation circuit?
- No, you don't. The MAX6675 chip has cold-junction compensation built right in. It automatically corrects the thermocouple's reading based on the ambient temperature of the module itself, which simplifies your design.
