- Yes, this module operates on both 3.3V and 5V DC power. The analog output voltage scales automatically from 0V up to your supply voltage. Just remember that a Raspberry Pi needs an external analog-to-digital converter to read these signals.
- How do I wire this joystick to my microcontroller and mount it?
- You connect the module using its five-pin header for power, ground, two analog axes, and the switch. For physical installation, the PCB features four M2.5 mounting holes. Standard 0.1-inch female jumper wires plug directly into the male pins.
- What kind of physical movement and electrical output range should I expect?
- The spring-loaded lever automatically returns to center and moves up to sixty degrees mechanically. Inside, the ten-kilohm potentiometers turn through a two-hundred-seventy-degree electrical range. This gives you a full analog sweep from zero volts up to your input voltage.
