- How do I wire and mount this tachometer?
- It runs on 12V DC and fits a 68 x 33mm panel cutout. Mount the included Hall sensor 1 to 10mm from a rotating target, with its 100cm cable reaching the unit. The NPN output ties into common control inputs.
- What RPM range can it read, and how accurate is it?
- It reads from 10 up to 9999 RPM with about 1 RPM accuracy. The display refreshes every half second. For speeds beyond 9999 it can't show a correct value, so keep your target within that window.
- What does the Hall sensor need to detect speed?
- The Hall proximity sensor reads without contact, so it needs a magnetic target or trigger passing within 1 to 10mm. It uses an NPN output that works with common control systems. Mount it close enough to pick up each pass.
