- Does this tachometer come with the sensor, or do I need to buy it separately?
- You get both the 4-digit LED display unit and the Hall proximity switch sensor in this kit. It also includes a 1-meter cable to connect the sensor to the display panel. You will just need to provide your own DC 8-24V power supply to run it.
- How do I mount this tachometer and wire the sensor?
- This is a panel-mount unit that fits into a 68 mm by 38 mm cutout. It uses a simple three-wire connection for power, ground, and the signal line. Mount the sensor so it sits 1 to 10 millimeters away from your target magnet.
- What is the maximum speed this tachometer can measure accurately?
- This digital meter reads rotational speeds from 0 up to 9999 RPM with a typical accuracy of ±1 RPM. The display refreshes about once every second to show you updated speed readings. If your motor exceeds 9999 RPM, the four-digit screen will not display the extra digits.
