- How far will the wireless signal reach?
- The transmitter sends readings up to about 100 m in open space. Walls, metal, and other obstacles will cut that range down. It runs on 433 MHz RF, so put the transmitter where the path to the display is fairly clear.
- What temperature and humidity range can it measure?
- It reads temperature from -40 to 60 degrees C and humidity from 10 to 99 percent RH. Accuracy is about plus or minus 1 degree C and plus or minus 5 percent RH. That covers a fridge, a greenhouse, or an outdoor wall in most climates.
- How does it get power and where can I put it?
- The transmitter takes 2 AA batteries. The display runs on a DC 5V adapter or 3 AAA batteries, so you can plug it in or keep it portable. It sits on a desk with the stand or mounts on a wall, and a low battery indicator warns you before it dies.
