Can I use this solder wick with both leaded and lead-free solder?
Yes, this desoldering braid is fully compatible with both lead-free and leaded solder alloys. The high-purity copper conducts heat quickly to melt and draw up high-temperature lead-free solder. It contains a non-corrosive rosin flux that helps the solder flow smoothly into the braid.
What is this desoldering braid made of and does it require extra flux?
This wick is woven from high-purity, oxygen-free copper with a fine weave pattern. It comes pre-coated with about 2% non-corrosive, rosin-based flux by weight. This built-in flux means you do not need to apply extra paste to get clean solder absorption.
