- Yes, it works with standard soldering irons and is rated for lead-free solder up to 227°C. The braid contains a non-corrosive, rosin-based flux that helps pull the solder away quickly.
- What are the physical dimensions of the wick on this spool?
- Each plastic spool holds 1.5 meters of copper braid with a width of 2.0 millimeters. This size is ideal for detailed PCB work and BGA rework tasks.
- Is this wick just plain copper, or does it have flux added to it?
- This wick is woven from fine strands of oxygen-free copper. It is pre-coated with a non-corrosive, rosin-based flux to speed up solder absorption. You do not need to add extra flux to get it to work.
