- How do I use this desoldering braid?
- Lay the 2.0mm braid over the solder joint, then press your iron tip on top. The heat melts the solder and the copper wick pulls it up by capillary action. It clears excess solder from PCBs and helps you rework joints cleanly.
- What width and length do I get?
- The braid is 2.0mm wide and 1.5 meters long on a spool. The 2.0mm width handles both fine and general desoldering, and 1.5 meters gives you enough for many repairs before you run out.
- What iron temperature works best with this wick?
- Set your iron tip around 300 to 380 degrees C, depending on the solder type. The built-in rosin flux activates roughly between 150 and 350 degrees, so a hot, clean tip helps the braid wick solder fast.
