This capacitor discharge pen drains the residual charge from capacitors in electronic equipment, using a black 1000µF board rated AC 8 to 450V and DC 10 to 650V, or a green 5000µF board rated AC 8 to 1000V and DC 5 to 1000V. The LED stays lit while it discharges and goes out at about 6V.
