Capacitor Discharge Pen | Retractable Claw Probes | 1000µF or 5000µF, 1000V

This capacitor discharge pen releases residual charge from capacitors of up to 1000µF or 5000µF, depending on the version, at a maximum supported voltage of AC/DC 1000V. A constant current design keeps the discharge spark free: the 1000µF version clears 1000µF in 1 to 2 seconds and the 5000µF version clears 5000µF in 2 to 3 seconds. The indicator light is on during discharge and goes out at about 6V. Note: Disconnect the power first. This pen is not suitable for low voltage supercapacitors. Do not touch the circuit or exposed metal, and discharge high capacity capacitors in several goes, letting the MOSFET cool in between. About 6V remains when the light goes out, so confirm zero volts with a meter.
