An automatic fuel nozzle protects against spills and overfilling in high-volume vehicle or tank operations. These units use an internal venturi tube near the spout tip to trigger an automatic cut-off when the liquid reaches capacity. Typical aluminum alloy models support flow rates from 0 to 60 L/min, featuring 19 mm (3/4 in) inlets and 24 mm out-spouts for diesel, petrol, and kerosene.
Tracking dispensed volume requires matching the meter design to your power availability and accuracy requirements. Inline meters install directly into discharge lines or connect at the nozzle inlet for point-of-use reading.
You can choose between two main display architectures based on site conditions:
Fluid chemistry dictates housing material. Standard aluminum alloy bodies suit petroleum products like diesel, gasoline, and fuel oil. If transferring corrosive liquids, liquid chemicals, water, or urea solutions, choose a stainless steel nozzle or meter to prevent oxidation and internal wear.
Size your fuel transfer hose and fittings to avoid pump strain and flow restriction. Match the inner diameter of the hose to the pump discharge and the nozzle inlet, typically 19 mm (3/4 inch) or 25 mm (1 inch). Using undersized hoses creates backpressure, which can cause an automatic fuel nozzle to shut off prematurely.
