Questions about this product
- What's this spot welder actually for?
- It welds nickel strips onto 18650 cells, so it's built for battery pack work. Think small electronics repair, DIY battery projects, and light pack assembly. It's a handheld unit for hobbyists, not a production line.
- How thick a nickel strip can it weld?
- It handles nickel strip from 0.1mm to 0.15mm thick. Output peaks at 650A with 6 adjustable energy levels, so you can dial it down for thin strip or up for the thicker end. Stay within that range for clean, consistent welds.
- Does it come with everything I need to start?
- Yes. It ships with the welding pen and a length of nickel strip, so you can weld right away. The pen cable is about 40cm of oxygen-free copper. You charge it over USB-C in about 3 hours.
