- What can I build or fix with this spot welder?
- It is made for battery pack work. You can weld nickel strips onto 18650 lithium cells to build custom packs or repair existing ones. It also helps when prototyping battery-powered electronics. The 11 gear settings let you tune weld strength for the job.
- How thick a nickel strip can it weld?
- It welds nickel strip from 0.1mm up to 0.3mm thick, which covers most common battery-assembly needs. With a 650A peak output, thinner strips weld easily on lower gears. For 0.3mm strip, use the higher gear settings to get a solid bond.
- Does it need to be plugged in while welding?
- No. It runs cordless from a built-in 5000mAh battery, so you can weld at a bench or on site. You recharge it over USB Type-C at 5V. That keeps it portable and ready without a mains cord during use.
