Questions about this product

What types of network cables and PoE standards can I test with this device?
This tester works with standard CAT5 and CAT6 Ethernet cables using RJ45 connections. It detects PoE voltage from 12V to 60V DC and is compatible with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards. You can easily verify power delivery before connecting your devices.
How long of a cable run can this tester measure, and how accurate is it?
You can test cables up to 300 meters in length. The distance measurement has an accuracy of plus or minus 2 meters. Keep in mind that the operating temperature should remain between 0°C and 40°C during use.
Does this cable tester come with the battery and the remote unit?
The package includes both the main testing unit and a compact remote unit for loopback testing. However, the required 9V alkaline battery is not included, so you will need to purchase one separately. The main unit features a low battery indicator and shuts off automatically after 10 minutes to save power.
