- It is a rosin flux for electronics repair and rework on delicate parts. People use it for phone logic board repair, PCB assembly, and BGA or SMD soldering. The flux preps surfaces so solder adheres and flows better.
- How do I apply it to small components?
- It ships in a 10CC needle tube, so you dispense it manually right onto the pad or part. The needle tip gives accurate placement on tiny SMD and BGA components. Medium viscosity keeps it where you put it instead of running.
- Do I need to clean the board after using it, and how should I store it?
- It is a non-clean, non-corrosive formula, so cleaning is optional. If you want a spotless board, wipe residue with isopropyl alcohol. Store it at 5C to 25C, and unopened it keeps for about 12 months.
