Questions about this product
- Will this sensor work with a 5V Arduino Uno?
- Yes, it's designed for systems like Arduino. It runs on a 3.3V power supply, but its interface works with 3.3V to 5V logic levels, so it's compatible with a 5V board. Just be sure to power the sensor itself from your board's 3.3V pin.
- How accurate is this sensor and what's its maximum range?
- This sensor can measure distances from 0.04 metres up to 40 metres. Its accuracy is rated at ±2mm, which is suitable for precise measurements in many projects.
- How do I connect this to my microcontroller?
- You connect it using the three-wire serial interface, which is a standard UART connection. You'll need to connect the power (3.3V), ground, and the sensor's TX pin to your microcontroller's RX pin. The default communication speed is 38400 baud.
