Will this sensor work with a 5V Arduino Uno?
Yes, it's designed for systems like Arduino. It runs on a 3.3V power supply, but its interface works with 3.3V to 5V logic levels, so it's compatible with a 5V board. Just be sure to power the sensor itself from your board's 3.3V pin.
How accurate is this sensor and what's its maximum range?
This sensor can measure distances from 0.04 metres up to 40 metres. Its accuracy is rated at ±2mm, which is suitable for precise measurements in many projects.
How do I connect this to my microcontroller?
You connect it using the three-wire serial interface, which is a standard UART connection. You'll need to connect the power (3.3V), ground, and the sensor's TX pin to your microcontroller's RX pin. The default communication speed is 38400 baud.
