- Why does this industrial PC have six RS232 COM ports?
- The six DB9 serial ports let you wire legacy workshop gear directly to the PC without USB adaptors. They connect to CNC machines, barcode scanners, PLCs, and scales on factory floors. Each port runs on standard RS232 protocols for stable serial data transfer.
- What power supply does this unit need to run on a shop floor?
- The system runs on DC 19V power through a standard barrel jack. If you plan to wire it into a 24V control panel, you will need a step-down regulator to drop the line to 19V. The fanless aluminium case keeps the internal parts cool using passive airflow.
- What are the dimensions of the case, and does it support two monitors?
- The chassis measures 200 mm by 195 mm across and stands 62 mm tall. For video output, it has one HDMI port and one VGA port on the rear, allowing you to run two screens side by side.
