Questions about this product
- What can this meter test besides pH?
- It reads pH, TDS, and EC, plus water temperature with the built-in thermometer. That covers most water quality checks in one pen. People use it for hydroponics, aquariums, pools, and drinking water.
- How accurate are the readings?
- pH reads to 0.01 with about ±0.02 accuracy, across a 0 to 14 range. TDS goes up to 9999 ppm at ±2% full scale. It also has automatic temperature compensation, so readings stay steady as water temp changes.
- Do I need to calibrate it, and what battery does it use?
- Calibration is manual, so you set it against a known solution to keep readings honest. It runs on 2 x 1.5V LR44 button cells. Rinse the probe after each use to keep it accurate.
