- How do I fit one of these PS-3150 sensors on a door or window frame?
- You typically mount the wired sensor part onto the fixed door frame and the magnet part onto the moving door itself. Make sure they are aligned so they pass within about 15-25mm of each other when the door is shut.
- Does this come with the magnet part as well, and how long are the wires?
- Yes, each unit includes both the wired sensor half and the corresponding magnet half. The sensor comes with a pre-attached 30cm wire for connecting to your alarm panel or control system.
- What does 'Normally Open' mean for this door contact?
- As a 'Normally Open' (NO) sensor, the circuit is open, or off, when the door is shut and the magnet is next to the sensor. The switch closes and completes the circuit when the door is opened and the magnet moves away.
