Questions about this product
- How thick a nickel strip can this spot welder handle?
- It welds nickel strips from 0.1mm to 0.2mm thick, which covers most 18650 battery pack work. The 90 power levels let you dial it down for thinner strips and up for thicker ones. It's built for nickel, not copper or thick steel.
- What is this spot welder actually meant for?
- It's made for assembling 18650 battery packs by welding nickel strips to cell terminals. People also use it for small electronics repair and DIY hobby builds. It's a handheld hobby tool, not an industrial production welder.
- How do I power and charge it?
- It runs off an internal 5000mAh lithium polymer battery, so no wall outlet is needed during use. You charge it through the USB Type-C port, and a full charge takes about 2 to 3 hours. Plan for a minimum 5V 2A supply to charge it properly.
