- Do I need to buy a separate reflector for this sensor to work?
- Yes, this is a retro-reflective sensor, so it needs a reflector to operate. The sensor sends out a beam which bounces off the reflector and back to the receiver. When an object breaks this beam, the sensor is triggered.
- What's the maximum detection distance for this sensor?
- The maximum sensing distance is 10 metres. It's designed to detect a standard white card with 90% reflection at this range. Performance can vary with different types of reflectors or dirt build-up.
- What sort of power supply does this need?
- This model is a universal type that works with a wide range of voltages, from 24V to 220V, on either AC or DC circuits. It comes with a 2-metre PVC cable for connection and has a maximum load current of 200mA.
