- Is this voltage tester safe to use on live circuits?
- Yes. It detects live AC wires without touching them, so you keep your hands away from the conductor. It carries a CAT III safety rating and works on AC from 12 V up to 1000 V. Always test it on a known live source first to confirm it's working.
- What can I actually check with this pen?
- You can confirm live AC wires in outlets and circuits before you start work. The digital display shows the voltage level instead of just beeping. It also has a diode test mode for checking components in electronics projects.
- How do I charge it and does it use regular batteries?
- It has a built-in lithium-ion battery you recharge over USB Type-C at 5 V. There are no disposable batteries to buy or swap. Store it between -10 and 50 degrees C and keep humidity under 80 percent so the electronics stay reliable.
