Questions about this product

What types of network cables and PoE standards can I test with this device?
This tester supports standard RJ45 Ethernet cables for wiremap and length testing. It detects IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standards and measures DC voltage from 10 to 60 volts.
What is the maximum distance this tool can track and measure?
You can trace and locate cables at distances up to 400 meters, or up to 600 meters in extended mode. For actual cable length measurements, the maximum range is 200 meters with an accuracy of plus or minus 2 meters.
Does this cable tester come ready to use out of the box, and are batteries included?
The package includes the main testing unit and a remote receiver. You must buy batteries separately, as the main unit's 9V and the receiver's two AAA batteries are not included.
