- How deep can this scanner detect pipes and live wires behind my walls?
- It detects ferrous metals up to 80 mm deep and non-ferrous metals down to 60 mm. For live, unshielded AC wires, the maximum detection depth is 50 mm. You can use the adjustable sensitivity to fine-tune these detection depths for different materials.
- Does this wall scanner come with the battery needed to run it?
- The package includes the multi-function detector with a backlit digital display. It requires a 9V PP3 battery to operate, which is not included in your purchase. You will need to buy a 9V battery separately to power the device.
- Can I use this tool to locate both metal pipes and electrical wiring?
- Yes, this device has dedicated modes for scanning both metal and AC wires. It uses two distinct alert types and a digital screen to help you clearly identify what is behind the wall. This makes it perfect for checking safety before you drill or cut into drywall.
