How deep underwater can I safely submerge this metal detector?

This pinpointer features an IP68 waterproof rating, meaning you can safely submerge it up to 30 meters deep. It works wonderfully for both shallow water treasure hunting and deep scuba dives.

Does this diving detector come with a battery, or do I need to buy one?

This detector does not come with a battery, so you must purchase a 9V battery separately. A quality alkaline battery gives you about 20 hours of underwater search time.

Will saltwater ruin or corrode this pinpointer over time?

The body consists of corrosion-resistant ABS plastic designed specifically to withstand harsh marine environments. We recommend rinsing the probe with fresh water after every saltwater dive.
