Can I use this flux with both leaded and lead-free solders?
Yes, this RMA 218 flux is fully compatible with both leaded and lead-free solders. It provides excellent wetting and flow across a recommended temperature range of 150°C to 250°C. You do not have to worry about switching fluxes when changing solder types.
How should I store this flux syringe to keep it from drying out?
Store the syringe in a cool place between 5°C and 25°C to keep it fresh. Unopened, the paste has a shelf life of 12 months. Make sure to cap the syringe after each use to prevent the paste from drying.
What are the best soldering projects to use this RMA 218 flux for?
This paste is ideal for reballing BGA components and stencil printing during SMD rework. The 10cc syringe format gives you precise control for detailed electronics repair. Because it is a no-clean formula, it leaves a non-conductive, non-corrosive residue that you do not need to wash off.
