- Can I use this flux with both leaded and lead-free solders?
- Yes, this RMA 218 flux is fully compatible with both leaded and lead-free solders. It provides excellent wetting and flow across a recommended temperature range of 150°C to 250°C. You do not have to worry about switching fluxes when changing solder types.
- How should I store this flux syringe to keep it from drying out?
- Store the syringe in a cool place between 5°C and 25°C to keep it fresh. Unopened, the paste has a shelf life of 12 months. Make sure to cap the syringe after each use to prevent the paste from drying.
- What are the best soldering projects to use this RMA 218 flux for?
- This paste is ideal for reballing BGA components and stencil printing during SMD rework. The 10cc syringe format gives you precise control for detailed electronics repair. Because it is a no-clean formula, it leaves a non-conductive, non-corrosive residue that you do not need to wash off.
