Air Compressor Safety Relief Valve | 1/4" BSP Brass | 120PSI Pull Ring

This air compressor safety relief valve is a brass pressure relief valve with a 1/4 inch BSP male thread, rated at 120PSI (1MPa), with a red plastic cap and a metal split ring pull. It fits on the tank or pipework of an air compressor and opens to release air if pressure goes too high, so the vessel is protected. Features and benefits: - Brass body - a solid metal valve for compressor tanks and pressure pipework - 1/4 inch BSP male thread - a common port size, so check your tank outlet before ordering - 120PSI (1MPa) pressure rating - stated on the listing, so match it to your compressor's working pressure - Ring pull on a red cap - the metal split ring is easy to spot and grip when you want to lift the valve by hand - Short 43mm length - about 1.7 inches, which keeps it compact on a tank fitting - Thread opening about 12mm to 12.7mm across - gives you a figure to compare with your port - Sold singly - 1 valve per order Applications: - Safety valve on a small two stage air compressor - Pressure relief on air receivers and pressure vessels - Protection point on compressed air pipework - Spare or replacement valve in a workshop or garage In the box: - 1 x brass safety relief valve with red cap and ring pull Note: Fit the valve so it is correctly installed on the pipe or tank in line with normal practice. If it is mounted outdoors, protect it from rain, fog, dust, rust and dirt getting into the valve and discharge pipe. In temperatures below zero, take steps such as antifreeze measures so the valve still works. Always check that the rating suits your system before use.
