- What kind of battery or power supply do I need to run this spot welder?
- You need a 12V power source with an input range between 10V and 14.6V. A 12V lead-acid battery from 20 Ah to 45 Ah works best. You can also use a 3S lithium battery pack rated between 4000 mAh and 6000 mAh.
- What is the maximum thickness of nickel strip this tool can weld?
- This spot welder handles nickel strips with a thickness between 0.1 mm and 0.2 mm. It delivers an adjustable peak welding current of 90 A to 150 A for these connections. Trying to weld thicker materials will likely result in weak joints.
- Does this spot welder kit come fully assembled or do I have to build it?
- This is a DIY assembly kit, so you will need to put it together yourself. The package includes the PCB control board, copper welding pens, and input cables. You must connect these parts and hook up your own 12V power supply to start welding.
