- What kind of soldering work is this iron good for?
- It's built for small electronics and detailed work. The 8W ceramic element and pen-style body suit circuit board assembly, wire repairs, and hobby projects. It's not meant for heavy jobs like soldering thick wire lugs or large copper connections.
- How do I power it, and how fast does it heat up?
- Plug it into any USB-C charger or power bank at 5V DC. It also runs cordless on the built-in 1000mAh battery. It reaches 250C in under 30 seconds, so you're working almost right away.
- Will it shut off on its own if I forget about it?
- Yes. It powers down automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity, which lowers the risk of burns or fire. An LED also shows power and heating status so you always know when the tip is hot. The tip still runs 250C to 400C, so handle it carefully.
