- Will these tips work with my existing soldering station?
- These tips feature universal T12 compatibility and fit a wide range of T12 soldering stations. They are compatible with the JS, SKUS, KU, SUK, and ILS series. Since they have an integrated heater and thermocouple, make sure your station supports T12 style cartridges.
- What are these tips made of and will they resist corrosion?
- Each tip has a copper core for quick heat transfer. We cover this core with a 0.2 mm multi-layer plating of iron, nickel, and chromium. This specific plating gives the tips high corrosion resistance and excellent solder wettability. The outer shaft is made from durable stainless steel with ceramic insulation.
- How hot do these soldering tips get and how fast do they heat up?
- These 70-watt tips operate within a temperature range of 200°C to 480°C. They heat up to 350°C in about 8 to 15 seconds, depending on your station. Their integrated thermocouple ensures fast thermal recovery so you can maintain a consistent temperature while working.
