Questions about this product
- What does this surge protector actually protect against?
- It's a Type 2 SPD that clamps damaging voltage spikes before they reach your electronics. Think lightning-induced surges and switching transients on the mains. It handles a nominal 20kA discharge and up to 40kA maximum.
- How do I install it in my panel?
- It clips onto a standard DIN rail inside your distribution board and wires in via screw terminals. The 1P+N format fits single-phase setups. A backup fuse around 63A gL/gG is the typical recommendation upstream.
- Will this work with my home electrical system?
- Yes, it's designed for standard single-phase 275V AC residential and light commercial systems. It meets IEC 61643-11. The visual status indicator lets you check at a glance whether the unit is still protecting the circuit.
